We just got this story in from one of our DUFFLER’s out there so today we're taking the opportunity to share it with all of you.

Magnus and his family have returned from an amazing journey to Iceland and Faroe Islands. They were at the mercy of nature, as instead of overdoing it with a lot of plans, they let the daily weather forecast decide their fate for the day: where to go and what to see. Bringing the family's 4x4 Land Rover on the trip (simple enough on the car ferry) made it easy to pack and, most of all, reach remote locations for which the islands' are famous. The DUFFLER bag, with its convenient size and versatility, was a marvelous companion in making their journey and day-to-day lives easier.

And as you can see, it fit perfectly in the back of their car.

When we asked what was the most memorable part of the trip and his best experience, Magnus answered: "Everything on Iceland is memorable. But you really need a proper 4x4 truck to see what it's all about. The small, winding mountain roads (in Iceland known as F-roads) shows a completely different Iceland than the paved main roads. Road 622 in the West Fjords, considered one of the most dangerous roads in the world, is also one of the most beautiful."
Magnus recalls fondly the Saksun Beach in the Faroe Islands, which could only be reached during low tide - a true hidden gem. The family was extremely lucky to enjoy the beautiful beach all to themselves.

What does Magnus recommend for like-minded adventurers?

"Go by ferry, bring your own 4x4, don't skip Faroe Islands and the West Fjords in Iceland. West Fjord is where the Icelanders go for their holidays and it is not too over-crowded with tourist buses."
